The importance of HCP smoking cessation intervention
As an HCP, you can have a profound impact on smoking cessation. Even 3 minutes of counseling with patients who smoke has been shown to significantly increase smoking abstinence vs no contact.1

The average smoker makes 6 to 11 attempts before becoming smoke-free.2,3 Patients need all the help they can get. But as an HCP, your time to counsel and support patients to quit is limited. Below are some tools to help you.
Tools for your office Now, in addition to advising your patients to quit smoking, you can encourage them to join Krewe de Quit. With posters and invitations to join the Krewe, you can support conversations with patients about the importance of quitting smoking.
